BODY OVERVIEW:

Spending its entire life in the southern US, this Cougar is as solid as one would expect, especially for an unrestored car of this vintage. The American Racing wheels add just the right touch of attitude. This isn't a concours car, but it’s got the bones to either drive and enjoy as-is or to bring to the next level! 

PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW:

Originally rolling off the line in green, this Cougar has been transformed into an all-black beauty that certainly catches the eye! The black paint is not factory original but shows well for an older respray. Please see photos in regards to paint imperfections. If you’re seeking a show-quality finish, this probably isn’t it—but as an affordable driver, the paint gives off a heck of a street presence without the worry of a parking lot ding ruining your day!

INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW:

The Cougar started life with a white interior, but now sports an all-black theme. The seats, dash, and trim show the usual signs of age, but for an unrestored car, it’s holding up quite well! The good news is, you don’t have to treat it like a museum piece—get in, get comfortable, and enjoy the ride. Please note that the armrests, rear glass, and rear window cranks are not currently installed. 

MECHANICAL OVERVIEW:

Mechanically, this Cougar is a solid driver, though it’s not without quirks. The power convertible top, for instance, doesn’t currently function, but it can be raised and lowered manually—because hey, who needs fancy technology when you’ve got the open road ahead? The 351 Windsor V8 runs like a champ, and the FMX automatic transmission shifts as it should. It runs and drives well enough to be a fun weekend cruiser, and doesn’t need anything to be driven today.

The power top doesn’t work (manual operation only), and if you’re after a show car, this one isn’t there yet. The paint and interior aren’t fresh, and you’ll have to deal with a little bit of age and wear. Overall, at this price point, this car is hard to hate!
