BODY OVERVIEW:
At first glance, this 1970 Ford F-100 might appear to be a simple old long-bed pickup truck, but it has a secret: it's a road warrior eager to get rowdy! The flat black paint with aged pinstriping and door graphics gives it a unique "rat rod" style patina, while the black Vision wheels and blacked-out bumpers complete the aggressive look. As far as an unrestored, 54-year-old truck goes, this body is very straight and shows well. There is some minor bubbling at the bottom of the doors as seen in the photos. The underside is remarkably clean and looks great painted black! No matter how you frame it, this truck looks menacing from every angle.
PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW:
The flat black paint, accented by aged pinstriping and door graphics, gives this F-100 a distinctive rat rod appearance. As such, it is not a perfect paint job, nor should it be! As seen in the photos, there are some areas where imperfections are visible under the paint. The patina is intentional and adds character, making this truck stand out in a crowd. It’s not about perfection; it’s about attitude!
INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW:
Inside, the theme continues with an all-black interior. From the seats to the dashboard, everything is black, creating a cohesive and bold look. The tasteful aftermarket steering wheel and modern stereo add a touch of modern convenience without sacrificing the truck’s vintage vibe. Much like the exterior, the interior presents well, but is not perfect as seen in the photos. That being said, there’s nothing about the interior to prevent you from enjoying this truck to the fullest!
MECHANICAL OVERVIEW:
Under the hood lies the heart of this beast: a hopped up 390ci V8 engine. This powerhouse is ready to roast the tires off at a moment's notice and sounds fantastic through the side exit exhaust! The automatic transmission makes it easy to handle, while power brakes ensure you can stop this road warrior when needed. There’s just something so darn alluring about a classic Ford pickup with a mighty powerhouse under the hood! This truck runs great, drives like an old Ford should, and with the help of an electric fuel pump it fires up with ease.
WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT THIS CAR:
You’ll love the unique rat rod style and powerful performance of the 390ci V8 engine! The flat black paint, aged pinstriping, and blacked-out features give it an unmistakable presence. This truck is all about having fun and making a statement!
WHAT YOU MIGHT HATE ABOUT THIS CAR:
If you’re looking for a fully restored show-truck, this isn’t it. The intentional patina and rough-around-the-edges style might not be for everyone. This truck is built for fun, not for winning concours events!
DOES IT NEED ANYTHING?
This F-100 is ready to hit the road and cause some commotion. In that respect, it needs nothing but a new owner who appreciates its unique style and rowdy performance!
WHAT BUYER IS LOOKING FOR THIS CAR?
This truck is perfect for someone who loves the rat rod aesthetic and wants a vehicle with a ton of personality. If you enjoy turning heads, hearing a powerful engine roar, and having a blast driving around town, this 1970 Ford F-100 is for you! It’s ideal for those who appreciate a solid old truck with a fun, rebellious spirit.
